About the School
Based in San Gwann, EEC-ITIS provides English language and exam preparation courses for students from all over the world. Set over three floors with a comfortable rooftop space, the school has ten classes with space for around 120 students, making it a medium-sized school.
With over 20 years of experience, we have established ourselves as a trusted provider of language education. Our school is renowned for our commitment to quality teaching and personalized attention, and every year we welcome hundreds of students to our sunny island to learn and improve their language skills.
Person Specification
We hire on an ongoing basis depending on the needs of the school and are interested in applications from teachers looking for one of the following:
Part-time Contract: 22.5 hours per week.Â
- Working primarily with adult students, but some flexibility required.
- Classes normally between 9.00 and 14.30, though classes may be scheduled until 17.30.
Casual Contract:Â Temporary ESP or general English classesÂ
- Primarily teaching closed groups such as Erasmus students on work placements. Class times may vary.
- Hourly rate of 17 euros per hour
Casual contract for Summer: 15 hours per week at a rate of 17 euros per hour – Multiple Positions Available between June and August.
- Working with teenagers, teaching general English
- Classes held in the morning
- Hourly rate of 17 euros per hour

Qualifications
We can only hire teachers who hold a valid ELT permit issued by the ELT council and it is the responsibility of teachers to apply for and obtain this permit. Please only apply if you have a valid ELT permit, are in the process of acquiring one, or can meet the requirements to apply for one.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Teach scheduled classes, such as general English, exam preparation, ESP, and Erasmus teacher training
- Follow our set curriculum and learning outcomes
- Prepare for lessons by creating lesson plans, reviewing or preparing materials as necessary
- Complete weekly records of work
- Complete lesson plans for training and observations when requested
- Keep up-to-date with ELT council approved CPD hours
- Complete student feedback and participate in action planning when necessary
- Attend in-house training and staff meetings
- Complete student attendance documents
